Ombre or dual-tone, it takes two shades to create truly on trend lips this Spring
This season is having a very different red-lip moment as two-tone lips on the catwalk inspire a plethora of duo lip products on the shelves. Fred Letailleur, European Makeup Artist for YSL, says the trend for two-tone or gradient colour comes from the popularity of contouring as well as draping – using blush to sculpt the face. “Gradient products are based around the rule that deeper colours will define or sculpt while lighter colours will brighten,” he explains.
“The beauty of a product like Babydoll Kiss & Blush Duo Stick (€33) is it can be used by mixing the colours together or by separating them.”
