Beat the heat with these foundations and bases that won't melt off when the mercury's rising!
Ideally, we'd give foundation the skip on days as warm today and we pretty much swear off all makeup when on holidays to avoid looking like a melted, flesh-shade candle, but this is the real world and not every day is a great skin day.
Weather aside, when our skin is acting up, we find a little coverage can do wonders for our confidence even within our personal quarantine bubble. It can also assuage temptations to touch our faces constantly.
Humidity can generally prove problematic for most makeup, but these lightweight, heat-proof bases are formulated in such a way as to deliver on the promise of evening out skin tones, but are less prone to slipping and sliding.
Hottest day of 2020 so far? No problem, with the best of the best summer bases.
Scroll on for a roundup of our tried and tested, favourite daily tints, that actually stay all day...
This water-based, water-resistant foundation is an all-year-round classic, but it really comes into its own in warmer weather. What it will do is even out tone-issues, provide natural coverage and moisturise the skin. What it won't do is cover up freckles, separate on the skin's surface or stick to drier patches. **Adds to cart.

While microdroplets of pigment suspended in a hydrating solution might not sound all that innovative, Chanel pioneered the skincare technique and most recently, borrowed it for their freshest foundation yet. Blending this over the skin leaves a near-untraceable veil of colour behind, while the finish on the skin looks plump and radiant, thanks to a formula that's composed of 75% water.
