The Make-Up Hack Ashley Graham Swears By For A Plump Pout, Sans Filler

If one silver lining has come from lockdown, it's that celebrities are dishing out their favourite beauty hacks.

Everyone's favourite model Ashley Graham has bestowed upon us one of the best beauty tricks we've seen in a while – all from the comfort of her own home.

Taking to IGTV, Graham uploaded a full beauty tutorial with products from her business partnership with Revlon to show us how she manages to look fresh-faced and glowing while running around after a newborn.

Graham starts the video barefaced, mentioning that she's already completed her skincare post-shower, using Skinceuticals C E Ferulic Serum and Skinceuticals Triple Lipid Restore 2:4:2 which she dubs her favourite moisturiser.

Then she begins her base, using her fingers to lightly layer and blend each product in.

"I think fingers are the best thing to use in the whole world when it comes to makeup because then you can really manipulate," she explains.

Shortly after this, around the 20-minute mark, things start to get interesting.

Graham preps her lips with a tiny bit of Aquaphor (the American equivalent of Vaseline); "I don't want my lips to be super moisturised, because I want them to stay", only for her to take an eyebrow pencil to use as a lip liner.

"I just kind of shade out a little bit," she said while tracing the upper edge of the top lip. "See how it just kind of pulls them open and up?"

"This is why people think that you get lip injections because you can just make them look bigger in one makeup sesh," she mused. "Meanwhile, they just use a little bit of a darkening shade."

The pencil in question was Revlon's Colorstay Brow Pencil in 'Soft Brown 210', which Graham then layered with Revlon's Super Lustrous Matte Lipstick in 'Dare To Be Nude'.

In the words of Graham, "Who would have ever have thought to use this as a lip liner?"

The trick to this shading is to use a cooler brown pencil when shading so as not to have warmer shades lining your lips. Go for a grey-brown hued pencil and Bob's your uncle, fuller lips FTW.
