"Let's show the world what two little Latin girls can do," Jennifer Lopez told Shakira, shortly before playing the Super Bowl Half Time Show in Miami.
In the event, the duo sang, belly danced, crowd surfed, knee slid, pole danced and even played the drums in a jaw-dropping and sometimes dizzying performance, as the Latin singers raced through 20 songs in just 12 minutes.
An impressive set to say the least, but perhaps more impressive was the tenacity with which their makeup stayed perfect.
In the interest of journalism, we decided to do a little digging and discovered that celebrity makeup artist Scott Barnes was the one to herald – and, lucky for us, he spilled his secrets in a series of Instagram posts.
On J Lo's face was a myriad of Marc Jacobs products such as the Marc Jacobs O! Mega Bronzer Perfect Tan and the Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner.
The eyeliner in question is award-winning, boasts 12-hour long-wear and is waterproof. According to the brand, there is one sold every minute.

Black eyeliner is notorious for instantly closing up the eyes, so Barnes relied on a number of tricks to make Lopez’s eye appear large; including using the gel liner along her lash line and adding a small cut crease onto the lid.
The performance saw Lopez and Shakira make history as the first Latinas to headline a Super Bowl halftime show and received infinite praise for shining a spotlight on their heritage while also seemingly making a number of political references.
