The SPF Kate Moss Swears By That's Under €20

Moss is boss.

Kate Moss has revealed her ultimate beauty secret is an affordable SPF.

If there’s one woman we put our trust for in beauty advice –– it’s supermodel of the century, Kate Moss.

As we approach the (fluctuating) heat of the summer months, we’re on the hunt for a sunscreen that offers optimum results with minimum effort.

As told to ELLE UK, the 46-year-old supermodel relies on an affordable, lightweight suncream to ensure her beauty glows from within. When asked about her beauty secret, Moss shared: “Sunscreen! I love La Roche-Posay Anthelios Fluid SPF5O+, as you can wear it under make-up.”

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Shaka Ultra Light Facial Sun Cream SPF50 (€19.50) was specially formulated for sensitive skin and provides UVA, UVB and Infrared protection. Recommended by dermatologists worldwide, the broad spectrum SPF50+ high protection fluid is resistant to water, sweat and sand.

As per our resident skincare expert Ciara Darcy, the worst thing you can do to your skin is "not wearing an SPF every single day."

"Even on the days that you hide inside from the lashing rain," she says.

"Your skin is affected by HEV (high energy visible) light. This light is emitted from your phone, laptop and TV. Advanced SPF's will block HEV rays protecting your skin from premature ageing. SPFs also protect against free radical damage. Free radicals fight healthy skin cells.

"They are there hail, rain or shine in the form of pollution, cigarette smoke, radiation, even chemicals used in cleaning products. Wearing an SPF every day creates a shield to protect your skin against them, it's the number one product to keep your skin healthy."

A mainstay in the Irish Tatler offices, Anthelios Shaka Ultra Light is an easy to apply fluid formula is non-greasy and does not leave white marks. You can take that to the bank.

Available in-store and online from local pharmacies nationwide including Meagher's Pharmacy and McCabe's Pharmacy.
