"Strobe cream is my ultimate quick fix for radiant, healthy-looking skin. Perhaps the original makeup product with genuine skincare benefits, I love it worn on bare skin for days spent WFH to add a soft-focus sheen or applied under foundation to fake a warm glow or even dabbed on the high points of the face to create a glam lit-from-within glow. Available in five flattering undertones, ‘Goldlite’ is my particular shade of choice thanks to its ability to banish away signs of dullness, but there is one to suit all skins. It has been my go-to for no-makeup days during lockdown and it's what I'm wearing below with nothing else."

Studio Fix Fluid Foundation
"This was probably one of the first higher-end foundations I ever bought as a teenager, back in the day. Now that I'm slightly more mature, I prefer to wear my base on the natural side during the day, and despite once thinking that this foundation was full-coverage, M•A•C Studio Fix Fluid Foundation actually boasts a liquid consistency that's very much buildable. A pump or two applied with a dense brush lends a light veil of coverage that never leaves the skin looking flat or devoid of life, but it can equally be applied with a smaller brush in targeted areas to hide breakouts and minimise discolouration. Plus with a total of 67 shades, it is easily one of the most inclusive base options on the market."

"Some people consider setting sprays an unnecessary additional step in any makeup routine, and I might have been one of said people, until that is, I tried M•A•C much-lauded Prep+Prime Fix+. Being dry-skinned, it's not the mist's ability to set one's makeup that appeals to me (although, it certainly does do its job on that front), but rather its hydration properties. Brimming with hyaluronic acid and vitamin C, it provides an instant hit of hydration while simultaneously brightening my complexion, keeping it looking plump and glowing all day long. I mist it prior to makeup application for a radiant base, after makeup to secure my look with extra glow, or even sprayed onto a sponge applicator to soak the product into skin."

"While I’ve been a long-time advocate of the full, boyish eyebrow, since the advent of face coverings, I’m finding myself preferring a more angular brow, one with added lift and arch definition. After a year without our regular maintenance visits, who could blame a girl for wanting to look a little groomed? With its microfine nib (which also happens to be self-sharpening), M•A•C's Eyebrows Styler is perfect for creating natural, hair-like strokes in areas that are a little sparse or might require some added shape and definition. More recently, the pencil-cum-styler has been reformulated to be waterproof, meaning you're guaranteed hours of staying power whether you're sweating in the gym or taking a dip in the sea."

"Ask anyone in the beauty industry to name a classic nude lipstick and you can bet M•A•C's 'Velvet Teddy' will always get a mention. Then try for a red and top of the list will quite likely be 'Ruby Woo'. Universally flattering shades aside, it's this exact formulation of lipstick that made M•A•C Cosmetics famous, and I, for one, totally get the hype! Its unique texture delivers bold, colour-rich pigment that's long-lasting and yet still feels comfortable to wear (an achievement you'll appreciate if you're a matte lip devotee). While balms, glosses and satin-shine finishes come and go, for me, a M•A•C Matte Lipstick is as indisputably reliable as makeup gets."

In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash
"From reading my above picks, you might be of the opinion that I like to keep my makeup fairly simple and natural, and for the most part, you'd be correct.... the only exception being my lashes. When it comes to my mascara, I look for one that leaves no lash behind and can deliver long, defined, feathery-looking Bami eyes that won't clump or flake. M•A•C's In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash Mascara has a lightweight, whipped carbon black formula that adds volume and creates a curl, while its 3-D printed brush works like a fine-tooth comb to separate and lengthen. More is definitely sometimes more and this mascara achieves just that!"
