Some self-care cheering up is certainly in order!
Well, that was a weekend for the books! Between status orange weather warnings and a wave of outward support for Sinn Féin, on Mondays like today, we could do with a little cheering up!
Whether it's #StormCiara's icy winds or the prospect of Mary-Lou as Taoiseach that's got you feeling blue this morning, we're here to provide some much-needed trivial distraction, in the form of new beauty and wellness launches to look forward to.
Regardless of your governing preference, here are the beauty bits and pieces we're relying on to give us comfort until this cold (and politically uncertain) snap passes.
When Victoria Beckham allows someone else to put their name on her eponymous beauty collection, you know she's not coming to play. Teaming up again with the renowned professor and stem cell scientist Augustinus Bader, this time for a powerhouse serum that harnesses Bader's unique Trigger Factor Complex (known as TFC8) which works to support the body’s natural skin cell renewal process, which in turn, reduces environmental damage in the skin. Unsurprisingly, it costs a pretty penny, but according to all reports, in terms of efficacy and patented technology that it’s formulated with, it's worth every cent.

Designed to capture the warm and comforting scents of a bustling cafe, Maison Margiela’s Coffee Break EDP smells so familiar, it's almost nostalgic. Despite the name, don't expect this perfume to smell like a freshly brewed Americano, complex layers of velvety coffee swirls moving through a bouquet of lavender and coming to rest on a creamy base of milk mousse accord and sandalwood.

When this two-step formula of polish and a topcoat landed on our desks last week, our excitement was audible. 'How has something this clever not been created sooner?' we gasped. For us, a topcoat is non-negotiable when it comes to destruction-proof nails, but carrying two bottles around does sometimes seem excessive - especially when travelling, so this double-ended pen really is a gamechanger.

Filling the gap between what's medical and what's luxe, Kérastase has created a new range of shampoos, conditioners, a mask, scalp serum and heat protector, all aimed at stopping hair fall and breakage. The Genesis line works to nourish the scalp, therefore halting the shedding in the first place and the claims are quite impressive if the shampoo, conditioner and treatment are used together.
