1. USE A SERUM
“I always say if someone isn’t using a serum then their routine’s not perfect. Serums have super-concentrated active ingredients so they’re there to support the skin. Locking serums in with a cream afterwards really helps to make them more effective. You could also layer serums if your skin can tolerate it. I like to layer a vitamin C then a hyaluronic serum followed by a cream. But start with the essentials: serum, sun protection or a moisturiser and then build it up.”
2. know your acids
“I get asked a lot about hyaluronic acid. It’s not a skin-refining acid, it’s a great natural moisturising factor. Acids can work well with hyaluronic acid within a lotion or a gel but if someone is using retinol in the evening I wouldn’t recommend using acids too. Always be mindful and make sure you test before using.”
3. EMBRACE EXFOLIATION
