Victoria Beckham's eponymous beauty lIne just released what may be its most nostalgia-inducing drop yet: a '90s-hued lipstick line inspired by Posh Spice herself.
Beckham teased the collection earlier this week on Instagram with a moving tribute about what the former moniker meant to her — and how it ultimately propelled her to create a line of lipsticks that pay homage to that special time in her life.
Writing on the brand's Instagram, VB revealed: "After the Spice Girls, I distanced myself from my nickname because it had unwavering momentum of its own. I wanted to find my own direction. Now, years later, I look back at that formative time with appreciation. Posh forever changed the course of my life, opening the door for me to go after my dreams.
"This week, I celebrate Posh with the launch of Posh Lipstick. It is deeply personal – lipstick has always given me the confidence when I needed it and extra spice when I already had it. Each shade is inspired by a specific memory, and whilst the moments may have been my own, the energy and emotion are shared by us all."
She signed off the post with "Posh is back" sending a whole Spice Girl loving generation into a frenzy of excitement.
As one might expect, the line consists mostly of hues most beauty lovers associate with the '90s; browns, mauves and beiges.
However, if neutrals aren't your thing, there is a cherry-red hue called Pop, a plum colour called Play or a coral-pink shade entitled Pout that might be more up your street.
As far as formula is concerned, it's rich in pigment — as well as nourishing oils (rosehip, coconut, and avocado) and waxes (candelilla, carnauba, and sunflower) to moisturise the lips while minimising fine lines and dry patches. The finish is subtly shiny, which makes lips look lush and healthy.
True to form, each product is also packaged in a chic, tortoiseshell covering – something VB says "will look beautiful coming out of your handbag".
Needless to say, if you've ever wanted to feel like Posh Spice, now is your chance to get a taste. Posh Lipstick is currently available for €42 each on victoriabeckhambeauty.com.
