The heatwave may not yet be over but thanks to this Chanel Coco Neige campaign, we are already dreaming of winter ski holidays.

Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld teamed with Academy Award-nominated actress Margot Robbie to head the first Chanel Coco Neige collection for Winter 2018/19. The line focuses on winter sports, snowing and apres-ski and has a balance of both feminine and masculine inspirations. The combination of tweed and leather carefully explores the world of snow and ski with that classic elegance Chanel is known for.

Discretion is a key feature in this campaign, with mostly a black and white colour palette being maintained throughout. Each item was designed to be worn as sportswear which means the high collars are made to protect you from the wind, the trousers flare out to cover ski-boots and the jackets perfectly cover the lower back.

The campaign, shot by Lagerfeld himself, features a cloudy background which you can imagine looks down over pure white mountain tops and wooden chalets. The mischievous Robbie is clearly having fun on set with many shots of her laughing being used in the campaign.

Lagerfeld wanted a collection that looks as aesthetic as it does sporty and that is exactly what you get with Coco Neige. Discover all the styles and allure of Chanel’s newest collection in boutiques from July 2018.
