Who doesn't love a love story that begins with an autopsy report? Bravo just unveiled a first look at its TV adaption of the gripping podcast series, featuring Eric Bana as Dirty John himself.

Get ready to never look at Eric Bana the same way again.

Last year, the LA Times debuted Dirty John, an addictive true-crime podcast centering on Debra Newell, a single mother and interior designer who falls for a dashing man named John Meehan – who seems, to everyone but Newell, too good to be true.

The six-episode audio series had everything true crime fans could want in an episodic thriller: deception; manipulation; a dashing con artist; a gorgeous, coastal setting; and a climactic finale. And the scariest part being that this really happened.

Courtesy of Bravo, Dirty John, the forthcoming limited series which will debut in November, will star American Horror Story's Connie Britton and The Time Traveler's Wife's Eric Bana in the twisted story of Debra Newell and John Meehan and if the trailer is anything to go by, we'll be on the edge of our seats for all eight episodes.

Dirty John premieres on Bravo on Sunday 25 November, don't miss it!
