In 2018, actress Elle Fanning made her runway debut opening the Fall show for Miu Miu. A year later and the number of celebrities walking for Miu Miu is multiplying.
Having a celebrity walk the catwalk is not an unusual occurrence, from Madonna for Jean Paul Gaultier in 1993 to Rita Ora for DKNY in 2014, everyone seems to have done it. However, never has there been a more star-studded group of models than those featured in Miu Miu's Cruise 2019 show.
Over the weekend audience members were blown away by the forty-nine diverse looks from Miuccia Prada and the array of celebrities exhibiting them.
Opening the show was sixteen year old, Disney star Rowan Blanchard. Adorned in black with a slight pop of colour on her bag, Blanchard's look was a memorable opener. Some other young stars that graced the runway include Kaia Gerber and Sadie Sink, both of whom looked dazzling and right at home in front of the crowd.
Following these young stars came an assembly of some of Hollywood's top celebrities. From Alexa Chung and Chloe Sevigny to Kate Bosworth and Gwendoline Christie, the crowd has a wide range of looks and celebrities to feast their eyes upon.
Closing the show was uber-celebrity Uma Thurman who, once asked, decided to spontaneously walk in the show last minute.
The star-studded models that walked the catwalk didn't take away from the undoubtedly diverse and chic collection that was being debuted. From fluffy slippers and silk gowns to grandpa jumpers, this collection has both a glamorous and laid-back feel. Head over to the Miu Miu Instagram page for a closer look at the range.
