The most famous woman in the world has shown allegiance to Irish fashion.
Kim Kardashian West graced the couch of one of America's most famous talk shows on Tuesday morning to promote her newly unproblematic shapewear brand Skims (more on that here) and wore head-to-toe Irish fashion while doing so.
Eoin Dillon, the homegrown designer behind Reuben Avenue, was the order of the day – the very man who designed the silk trousers and shirt worn by the entrepreneur and budding law student on the Today Show.
Born in Dublin, Eoin Dillon has been working internationally for the past 12 years during which he has amassed an impressive client list from home and abroad. He is the 'all-round creative', who is now residing in Dublin.
Before launching into fashion design, Eoin founded EOIN DILLON STUDIO in 2009 as a Set Designer. His set designs have been commissioned by clients such as Vanity Fair, Número Homme China, VOGUE, Ponystep, i-D, Hunger, Wonderland, Re-Bel, 125 Magazine, GQ, Schon!, Marie Claire, IMAGE and Mr Porter.
He also uses biodegradable fabrics - silk, Irish linen, shell buttons and organic cotton threads to ensure he's not contributing to any pollution or damage through his products.
Dillon told Irish Tatler, "It’s surreal to see someone so beautiful wearing Reuben Avenue, it’s like bringing a sketch to life."
The silk two-piece worn by Kim on the show is available now on his website and in the Kilkenny shop on Nassau Street, Dublin 2.
Reuben Avenue is currently partaking in Scéal, the story of Irish craft and design in Kilkenny that celebrates emerging Irish design talent. Scéal tells each supplier’s individual narrative and champions the craft and love that goes into each piece.
