Way back when we laypeople were still eagerly awaiting the launch of the Moschino x H&M collection last year, back in the highstreet giant's Stockholm HQ, the teams were busy planning their 2019 designer collaboration.

Wanting it to contrast the bold, print-heavy Moschino collab but all the while having an equally dramatic impact, they settled on making haute couture accessible to the masses.

Enter Giambattista Valli x H&M!

Since then, we've seen the results of the months of hard work and have a clearer idea of who Valli envisioned wearing the collection. Featuring the designer's signature designs and details, the collaboration is full of feminine silhouettes with an edge, more layers of tulle than you could count and intricate beadwork.

A collection to turn heads in, we've seen everyone from Chiara Ferragni to H.E.R sporting the romantic designs and more recently, ahead of the Giambattista Valli x H&M launch on Thursday, 7 November, one of our very own got the chance to taste that haute couture life.

Lauren, of @Lovelauren fame, who has worked with H&M in the past, was the first Irish influencer to wear the much-hyped collection, and we spoke to her about what it meant to have the privilege.

It’s such an honour to wear the collection before it hits stores this week. It was honestly a dream wearing that dress, I didn’t want to take it off!

Having her pick of H&M’s most couture collection ever, she chose to shoot in the same show-stopping red dress that Kendall Jenner wore to close the runway show in a grand palazzo, Rome.

Styling the dress with a diamaté belt also from the collection and black velvet platforms, Lauren told us the dresses, in particular, are perfect for the festive party season ahead.
