Name a more iconic duo...
It’s the not-so-secret outfit formula that knows no bounds and that’s been uttered across WhatsApp groups, Facebook groups and group chats, for years: jeans and a nice top. It’s the gift that keeps on giving, and the reason it’s so prolific is that it’s versatile, easy and dependable.
And yet as summer rolls around and it's time for us to break out our old favourites and stock up on a few new ones, too - we're short-sighted. We load up on sundresses, shorts, sandals and other obvious must-haves, entirely neglecting corners of our wardrobes that are dependable for our everyday lives.
Nice tops, going-out-tops, GOTs - whatever you call them, often go overlooked, leaving us with a closet full of day-to-day clothes, but nothing to wear on our next night out.
No longer. We're done loading up on floral maxi dresses, summer mules and linen (Okay, we're not done-done but we are willing to take a break for a hot minute). It's time for us, and you to right our mutual sartorial wrong with these summer going out tops.
