Celebrities, Influencers And Our Editors Are All Wearing These Sandals

Essentially a dissertation on 2019's sandal trends...

Bare feat season is upon us.

Hibernation season is officially over - the days are longer, ice-cream vans are back in business and soon your office canteen will be crowded with foreign sweets your colleagues brought back from their holiday.

In honour of this, it's time to treat yourself to your annual treat of investing in one new pair of sandals. This is officially the best time to shop summer sandals as high street stores have their full summer collection on shelves meaning you can guarantee you won't suffer from FOMOS (fear of missing out (on) sandals) - it's a thing.

This summer, some old favourites are back again (hi, tan leather sliders), but there are also some new contenders in the mix. The style that never left the feet of Carrie Bradshaw are back for another season as fashion it girls seem to have backed the strappy sandal as this year's hottest footwear trend.

Another sandal style that feels fresh but has left us feeling conflicted is the ugly sandals trend. Making their unofficial fashion debut during Prada's Spring 2018 show, the thick foam soles complete with supportive straps and velcro fastenings have been picked up by our favourite Insta Gals meaning it will only be a short period of time before they're on our soles too.

Below are all the sandal trends you'll ever need to get you through Summer 2019.

Tan Leather Sliders

A pair of tan leather sliders will always look expensive—whether you go for a pair from Saint Laurent or a high-street version.

Woven Sandals

While these may be a pair only worn on a beach holiday - and nowhere else...your feet need them.

Low heel mules whether they be kitten or chunky are here for Summer 2019 to give you the illusion of longer legs.

Toma Leather Sandals, €260, ATP ATELIER

Strappy Sandals

Whether you call them floss heels, naked heels, strappy heels, this is arguably the leading sandal trend of the year.

Cylindrical-heel wrap-around leather sandals, €593, Proenza Schouler

Strippy Black Heeled Sandals, €49, Topshop

This trend is by no means fresh. For years now, flashy logo-emblazoned sandals have been flooding our Instagram, however this year: they've grown up.

4G Black Leather Sandals, €690, Givenchy

Marmont logo-embellished leather sandals, €385, Gucci

"Ugly" Sandals

No longer just the preserve of tourists and adventure-type dads, 'ugly' sandals are here to replace your 'ugly' trainers for Summer.

Sporty sandals, €39.99, Zara

Leather-trimmed sandals, €450, Prada
