5 Work Outfit Ideas That'll Make You Excited For Work

Save this to your browser and never be late for work again...

Because dressing for the office in freezing temperatures can feel uninspired.

When temperatures dip below 20 degrees and it's still dark outside at 7 am, it's tempting to go with the I-just-rolled-out-of-bed look. Or better yet, avoid the cold altogether and work from home...in your pyjamas. This sentiment (coupled with the fact that my puffer coat hides my entire outfit) usually leads our workwear wardrobes down a dark, drab and a rather miserable path. Think the same black trousers, same boring blouse in a variety of colours teamed with a cardigan that even our Granny's would find depressing.

But there are a number of ways you can look smart when you're in hibernation mode. Ideally, you want to focus on three main items to make up your office outfit. Sure, you can add in accessories, but if you stick to a few key pieces, you’ll save time. (Although, the real key here is to make sure you’ve got everything prepped the night before.)
