While wedding season traditionally occurs during the summer months, November and December are also popular times for couples to say "I do".
Crisper air is always more conducive to romance we feel, but the changing of seasons does bring a whole new set of challenges when it comes to occasion-dressing.
If you're wedding-bound over the new few weeks, here are some outfits to get inspired by.
Silk slip dresses are certainly only summer-wedding appropriate, but Net-A-Porter's Fashion Director Lisa Aiken breathes an autumnal lease of life into hers, by layering it under a tailored jacket in a tonal shade of blue.
Add a Pop of Print
Polka dots are a classic go-to print for weddings regardless the season, but @SlipintoStyle's Ellie has opted for a spotted dress in a light fabric and bell sleeves that'll have her prepped for both a chilly church and a warm reception room.
Lady in... green
Green is a perfect trans-seasonal colour, being as fitting for weddings in the depths of winter, as it is for those at the end of summer. This particular Ghost dress has earned cult-status amongst the Insta-set for that exact reason - it's cheery and bright, without looking out of season.
If the big day is getting closer and you're still stuck for some trans-seasonal occasion dressing inspo, opt for a two piece suit. Stylish, covered up and oh-so-cool girl, wear with some statement earrings and an 'I just threw this on' attitude.
