Say hello to olive, forest and juniper – these shades are your new interior BFFs.

It’s the shade that’s spawned myriad couches, multiple knock-offs and even some dedicated blogs (see TheGirlWithTheGreenSofa.com). Suffice to say – according to Pinterest – shades of forest and olive green are about to invade your home.

But, like many popular trends, this one comes with a caveat. So before you throw the kitchen sink in, make sure you style your Kermit-inspired kit the modern way. While we love the kitsch vibe of interior guru Luke Edward Hall's London home (below) we  have a feeling that keeping things contemporary might be a little more doable for us lay folk.

Our advice? Focus on one to two statement pieces in the shade, then pile on pieces of interest like books, marble finishes, brass elements and white-washed walls.
