Fine jewellery fans, mark your diaries!
While auctions may be intimidating to some, they are also one of the best places to find rare, interesting, affordable and wearable art, and there’s nothing quite like exquisite gemstones or vintage precious jewellery designs to make a holiday season extra special.
Adam's Auctioneers upcoming fine jewellery and watch sale on Tuesday 07 December at 4.00 pm has been curated by associate director and head of the jewellery department Claire-Laurence Mestrallet and will feature pieces by Cartier, Bulgari and Patek Philippe.
Jewelled highlights going under the hammer early next month include an emerald, sapphire and diamond Bulgari ring dating from circa 1980 with an estimate of 12,000- €18,000. (Lot: 94)

Also, an oval-shaped untreated yellow sapphire, of Sri Lankan origin, set within a double four-claw 18K gold setting and between trapeze-cut diamond shoulders. (Lot: 119, estimate of €5,500 - €6,500)

Watch enthusiasts will be glad to hear that there is just shy of 20 timepieces for sale in the upcoming auction, including a rare stainless steel automatic Submariner wristwatch by Rolex, dating circa 1968. (Lot: 254, estimate €8,000 - €12,000)

As well as an 18K gold manual wind 'Calatrava' wristwatch by Patek Phillipe, circa 1997 with an estimate of €6,000 - €8,000. (Lot: 130)
