We’re not encouraging stockpiling, but in a bid to support smaller businesses during this confusing time, we are encouraging you to place an order with one of the best alcohol delivery services...
We’re officially seven weeks in quarantine but perhaps the biggest challenge is still ahead of us: the bank holiday weekend.
We’d usually spend those three wonderful days basking in the sun of our favourite beer garden. Quite clearly, doing that is just not an option this time around (seriously - stay at home). So how else can we spend the long weekend?
You could pull your friends together - via Zoom, perhaps? - for your own wine tasting evening, or enjoy a few cocktails over virtual chats. Equally, if it’s a quieter evening you fancy, watching one of Netflix’s new releases with a glass of prosecco would go down an absolute treat.
So, in a bid to keep you entertained this bank holiday weekend and to support smaller businesses during this confusing time, you can still get your negroni, martini or old fashioned fix while staying safe at home. Here’s who's doing what and how to place an order.
Renowned in Dublin for its margaritas, 777 has thankfully made them available for collection along with the '777 At Home' food box. The margaritas are pre-batched in 750ml bottles (around five margaritas) and are priced at €40. You can pre-order to add to your 777 at Home or just on its own by calling 01-425-4052 and you can collect from 777 or Dillingers in Ranelagh (which will need 24 hours notice). Anti Social, which opened just weeks before the pandemic, has pivoted to offer cocktail delivery in Dublin. Initially, the team were only delivering their 500ml and 1litre bottles of cocktails to residents in a small section of Dublin city, but now, delivery is available in all areas of County Dublin. Customers within a 2km radius of the bar can order their cocktails for collection. The range of cocktails currently available includes margaritas, pornstar martinis, sex on the beach, Moscow mules, cosmopolitans and much more, with a promise to add more weekly. Anti Social also recently released a merchandise line with 100 per cent of profits going towards the Dublin Simon Community. For more info, click here.
