It's been a good week for Irish restauranteurs.
Not only have five new Michelin-starred restaurants, and seven new stars benn awarded, but the National Hospitality Awards has also announced their list of the best restaurants in the country.
In the same ceremony that named NoLiTa the best nightclub in Ireland, the shortlist for best restaurant in Ireland included Inis Meáin Restaurant & Suites (Galway), Aimsir (Kildare), Cliff at Lyons (Kildare), and Bastible (Dublin), but the overall winner was Restaurant Patrick Guilbaud, located on Merrion Street in Dublin 2.

Outside of the best overall restaurant, some other eateries around the country got a special shout-out within their categories, including Best World Cuisine, of which the winner was Rasam (Dún Laoghaire, Dublin), beating out Koh (Dublin), Doolally (Dublin) and China Sichuan (Dublin).
The Best Seafood Restaurant award went to SOLE Seafood & Grill (Dublin), with Linnane's Lobster Bar (Clare), O’Grady’s on the Pier (Galway), and Wild & Native (Wexford) all runners-up.
And last but not least in the food awards, Best Hotel Restaurant went to House Restaurant at Cliff House Hotel (Waterford), with special mention going to West @ The Twelve (Galway), The Lady Helen Restaurant at Mount Juliet Estate (Kilkenny), and The Restaurant at Harvey's Point (Donegal).
