What We're Cooking This Week – Rainy Weather Edition

Five delicious recipes to try this week.

It's the start of a new week which means it's time to figure out what to cook.

Our food cravings have inspired this list, based on recipes we've been posting on the site lately. The dishes below are ones we know we'll cook again and again, so try them out with us and let us know what you think.

Bacon and leek macaroni cheese

Comfort food at its finest, this mac and cheese recipe is perfect for a midweek meal. While the bacon and leek are a delicious addition, you could use this dish as a way to use up leftovers - we love to throw in chorizo, chicken, spinach, tomatoes or whatever else we have on hand. All-American chocolate cookies

Classic cookies are always a winner so we love having a batch on hand to snack on while we're working from home. The chocolate chips are a welcome addition, but if you want to try spice it up a little, try using different types of chocolate or adding in nuts and dried fruit - cookies are endlessly customisable. Chargrilled sirloin steak sandwich

It might have taken a bit of a dip last week, but the warm weather has returned to us again, giving us a great reason to dine al fresco. This steak sandwich, packed with Béarnaise sauce and tender mushrooms, doesn't take too long to cook and is perfect for summer dining. If you're confident with a barbecue, use it to cook your steak to add some extra flavour. Click here to try the recipe.

Mascarpone chocolate pots with homemade honeycomb

This chocolate and mascarpone dessert is light but satisfying, making it perfect for a summer day. We absolutely love the honeycomb so we recommend making a double batch and dipping some in melted chocolate to make homemade crunchies. Try it out here

Real beans on toast

Beans on toast is total comfort food, but give the tin a break this week and try this recipe instead. To jazz up your meal, try popping the beans in an ovenproof bowl, adding grated cheese and melting it all together under the grill, before finishing with a fried egg and toasted sourdough.
