One of our go-tos for affordable, stylish posters and prints, Scandinavian wall art site Desenio has just launched a lovely collaboration for children’s rooms.
The Astrid Lindgren x Desenio collection features quotes and illustrations from the works of Swedish children's author Astrid Lindgren. Perhaps most famous here in Ireland for her tales of the mischievous Pippy Longstocking, Lindgren’s other children’s books series include the adventures of Emil in Lönneberga and Karlsson on the Roof.
The Astrid Lindgren x Desenio Collection comprises 12 illustrated prints featuring characters and quotes from Lindgren's books. With a simple, minimal style and understated, neutral palette they look great teamed with simple frames.
The collection
Illustrated by Ingrid Vang Nymanas, the fearless and strong Pippi Longstocking is an inspiration for any child. (Her chaotic ponytails will be instantly recognisable to fans of the books too.)
The mischievous Emil from the tales of Emil in Lönneberga is illustrated by Bildmakarna Berg/Björn Berg and brings a sense of adventure, while Karlsson from Karlsson on the Roof, illustrated by Ilon Wikland, is a champion of fun.
The Astrid Lindgren prints are available in three sizes (21x30cm, 30x40cm and 50x70cm) and prices start at €9.95 on desenio.ie.
