The Irish Food Businesses You Can Order From Today

We're doing what we can to help local businesses.

Even though we're all still practising social distancing and most of us are working from home, we still want to help support Irish food and drink producers.

We've decided to help our readers #ShopForIreland so we'll be posting every day to highlight producers around Ireland. Get in touch on our social channels with your suggestions on who we should write about.

Michael's and Little Mike's

Gaz Smith of Michael's was one of the first chefs to pivot straight to a takeaway option when he had to close down his two restaurants due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, when things started to accelerate, Gaz made the difficult decision to close down and reassess. Following the Taoiseach's new recommendations last week, Gaz decided to reopen Michael's and Little Mike's with a new and improved takeaway system.

Pre-orders will be taken from 1pm on Friday for Michael's – limited quantities are available, but surf and turf, steaks, seafood platters and Sunday roasts will all be available to order. Collection starts at 4pm and your food will be placed directly into the boot of your car, making the whole process completely no contact. Little Mike's will be offering a fish and chip-style menu, with no preorders available but a quick turnaround has been promised.

Stay tuned to @MichaelsCoDub on Twitter for updates.
