The Car Brand That Will Seamlessly – And Stylishly – Get You Wherever You Need To Go

Almost too sleek to drive. Almost.

Renault was our official car sponsor for our biggest night of the year: The Irish Tatler Women of the Year Awards 2019.

It enabled us to do all the pre-party essentials swiftly and on schedule – all without breaking a sweat – and on the night itself, took us from A to B in comfort and style. Renault was surely a lucky charm; the heavens may have opened but, thanks to them, we stayed bone dry!

Stress-free transport from the start: The new Renault KADJAR

When it comes to special occasions, it's as much about the before as it is the night of. It wasn't just the main event we had to pull off without a hitch, it was all the preparation and planning. The back-and-forth from our venue, picking up our gorgeous gúnas, the hair and makeup appointments, plus the mad dash when you've forgotten something? A given on a big occasion.

Safety & Style

Safety first. Its innovative safety features were a standout, from the active emergency braking system that warns you when a risk of collision is detected to the camera and sensor detection – we had to do any amount of delicate manoeuvring in narrow spaces! – which was surprisingly easy to accomplish. Kadjar’s 7” touchscreen with Android Auto® and Apple CarPlay® were a life saver when navigating around Dublin doing pick ups and handsfree and safe texting and WhatsApp was a blessing. It’s also a very stylish SUV with its new sleek body shape and we loved the Iron Blue hues.

Top marks were also given to this model for its newly designed sleek exterior and internal comforts, from raised seats with adjustable cushion lengths, USB ports (because the phone always dies when you least expect it), front and rear air conditioning and smart storage (at times we were laden down with supplies!). You can even do your bit for the environment from behind the wheel: Using eco-driving, this all-terrain SUV helps you to optimise your fuel consumption.

Our Head of Partnerships, Niamh Ryan, had this to say about her mode of transport a week before the event began,

I had the pleasure of driving the new Renault Kadjar in the week leading up to our Women of the Year Awards. It's an incredibly stylish model and a dream to drive. Commuting from Maynooth each morning and evening, I found it very fuel efficient for an SUV model

For the main event: The All-New Renault CLIO

On the night itself, this model stood out for all the right reasons, with it catching the eye of our guests entering the venue, thanks to its modern, metallic Valencia Orange tint – it more than brightened up the surroundings and was a welcome distraction from the wet weather on the night.

Smart, Compact & Connected

And it doesn't just look sleek on the outside; on the inside, every high-quality detail and finish come to life. With its new driver-focused smart cockpit and enveloping seats, it's more than a drive – it's an experience, customised to your taste. To really enhance your wellbeing, choose from a selection of interior customisation and MULTI-SENSE ambient lighting.

Making your journey as easy as can be this model boasts a touch-screen, connected navigation system and EASY DRIVE technology to take the hassle out of driving and parking, with a 360° camera and the Easy Park Assist system.

The all-New Clio draws on the DNA of the previous four generations of the French icon – remember the stylish Nicole et Papa  - can you believe Clio is nearly 30 years old and has been Europe’s top selling supermini since 2013 – yes, we can! The All-New Clio which has just arrived on our shores rewrites the rule book with more mature body styling and an entirely revamped interior – oh la la!

You'll love both Renaults so much, you make be tempted to skip the main event – and we wouldn't blame you.
