The Irish Space Providing Online Yoga And Meditation Classes During Social Isolation

The Space Between is making lemonade out of lemons as they help to shape a new way to stay connected, keep a healthy body and mind and develop some rhythm in the midst of total uncertainty.

One of Dublin’s most impressive community yoga, meditation and event spaces has spearheaded the transition to an online live stream space.

The Space Between has a full seven-day-a-week yoga and meditation schedule and is now plugging in an eclectic mix of new concepts to play with and explore this new terrain.

"We have taken the decision to run these complimentary, it feels very appropriate at this moment," says founder Dave Smith.

"However, we have some fantastic teachers who, now more than ever, are stepping up and we have a Patreon (donations) page and Paypal set up so please feel free to support however you can.”

To book any of their available classes, you can do so by live streaming on Zoom or simply booking online as normal via Mindbody App and then The Space Between team will email you the live link before the class.

Main activities are as follows:

Live Stream Yoga

Classes run every morning. Feel free to log in early and chat with the teachers.

Family Yoga

Also running every morning. These run as two x 15-minute classes for all the family, to help break up homeschooling.

Daily Meditations

These are broadcasted from Dublin and Berlin for added zen.

Various Workshops

Live-streamed by their regular teachers now stationed as far away as NYC.

White Rabbit

A curious book club, now stationed online.

A Jungian Lecture series

Featuring an interactive exploration of Jungian Psychology

Mind over Matter

A series of experiential and practical interactive lectures designed to help you better understand your make up, reduce stress and build resilience and capacity and navigate to a more grounded, engaged and happier future state.

"To see so many of our regular people tuning in online and supporting this initiative is so galvanizing for all involved as we try to pivot towards this new way of operating," Dave continued.

"What’s more, being able to go to a class now and be joined by family members who are living all around the world is creating something quite unique and special at this particular moment.”

“We know for many of us, the yoga mat delivers that place to centre our minds and bodies, to find stillness. We have created such a magical community in The Space Between and in support of everybody, we’ll be streaming live classes for free until the start of April."
