It's Now Acceptable To Have Pizza For Breakfast (And Here's Why)

What a time to be alive.

Never be ashamed by your breakfast choices again.

Poached eggs, Cornflakes or Margherita?

The choice – although seemingly obvious – is yours.

And according to one dietitian, pizza is actually a more balanced way to start your day than cereal.

NYC-based dietician Chelsey Amer told ABC News"Surprisingly, pizza can be a more balanced breakfast option than many sugar-filled breakfast cereals. A slice of plain cheese pizza contains a balance of carbs, protein, and fat.

"A bowl of sugary cereal with low-fat milk is largely sugar and extremely carb-heavy."

Remember that Instagram blackout last Wednesday?! Well, I wasn't able to share my full day of eats with you (for the second week in a row), and it got me thinking...Why do I share my What I Ate Wednesdays anyway?! . 1️⃣You ask for it, and if you find it helpful, I'm more than happy to share (AKA tell me what YOU want to see more of so I can share that!!!) . 2️⃣To show you that HEALTHY, BALANCED EATING IS DELICIOUS + DOABLE!! I eat something different every week because I truly believe in eating what your body is craving in the moment (when you can, most of the time!). For me, that includes dessert most days, always carbs, plus fats, protein, and veggies too! . 3️⃣To share meal inspiration for you!  Maybe you didn't know that you could use eggs in a way I enjoy them, or maybe you want to learn about new products I love... it's all there when I show a full day of eats! . . ‼️But I'm still hesitant to share my days with you because I DON'T want you to think that you need to eat exactly what I eat. **WE EACH HAVE OUR OWN INDIVIDUAL NEEDS!!!** Just because I eat something, doesn't mean it's right for you too. . Plus, everyday is different! Sharing 1 day of full eats is 1 out of 7 days of the week. Sometimes I'm working at home all day, sometimes I'm running around the city, sometimes I'm traveling. Some days I workout and others I'm pretty sedentary. Right now, I'm pregnant, which changes my needs. In a few months hopefully I'll be able to breastfeed, which will also change my needs. . My point is that NUTRITION IS FLUID, which is why my number 1 piece of advice (as cliche as it sounds) is to LISTEN TO YOUR BODY! Only YOU know what you need, and if you're unsure, reach out to a qualified registered dietitian to help!!! . So I hope you take all of this into account and join me on today's unique foodie journey in my story!  And I'd love to hear from you about why you follow along my WIAW so I can best help you on your nutrition journey... THANKS FOR FOLLOWING ALONG! I'm SO appreciative that you're here!! 

Although Amer doesn't exactly advocate for eating half a pizza before you’ve had your morning coffee, she instead claiming that it’s more like the lesser of two evils rather than an ‘everyday solution’.

Her idea of a perfectly nutritional breakfast is a mix of complex carbohydrates, healthy fats, and proteins. This might include egg and spinach on wholegrain toast or yoghurt and fruit with a sprinkling of nuts and seeds.

With maybe some pepperoni on the side, no?
