Thunder and heavy showers in June? The Grayson's got you covered... quite literally.
Typically, any addition of a rooftop bar – with panoramic views of the city – to Dublin's dining and drinking scene comes a welcome one, but with our current summer weather being what it is, we're finding ourselves seeking shelter... a lot!
One minute we're basking in the evening sun, shades on, rosé in hand. The next, we're running for cover under any makeshift surface that will keep us dry. That's why we are big fans of an indoor/outdoor terrace - especially one as chic as The Grayson's Atrium.
The glass-ceilinged atrium
Perched towards the back of the iconic Georgian townhouse (originally built as a residential home in 1745), The Grayson's marble-clad bar sits just under a stunning glass-ceilinged atrium, with raised smoker-friendly terrace and al fresco seating beyond.
The building has been carefully restored to highlight its original features, protect its structure, whilst adding a fresh, bright and comfortable feel, and with the Atrium's glass roof being retractable too, it's clear the Press Up Entertainment Group really went above and beyond to provide Dubliners with a centrally-located outdoor area, perfect for drinks and a bite to eat, or pre-dinner cocktails.
Dance under the stars
Opening late Thursday to Saturday, with regular DJs in residence, make sure to have a drink and dance under The Grayson's dazzling glass roof this summer.
