These breathtaking blooms are definite joy-bringers.

Spoil the mums in your life with a fabulous bouquet for Mother's Day, from pretty roses to trendy dried blooms

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and after such a difficult year, it feels more important than ever to show our mums just how much they mean to us. So, forget any ideas you had to just pick up a card at the supermarket, this Mother’s Day it’s all about thoughtful, meaningful gifts that are truly unique (more on that, here).

But if you haven’t managed to organise something special for your dear mum then don’t worry, there’s still time left to send them a beautiful bunch of flowers from a chic independent florist.

Well, if you’re quick!

Thanks to lockdown, we’ve missed out on celebrating lots of occasions with our favourite people, which has meant that postable gifts have surged in popularity, including flower deliveries. While sending flowers has always been a much-loved way to show someone you’re thinking of them, this year the idea is extra special now that we're spending most of our time inside.

What’s more, we’re seeing lots of stylish, Irish-owned, florists establish themselves online, offering unique arrangements and a personalised service. It’s the perfect opportunity to support a small business and spoil your mum with a fresh bouquet.

We've rounded up 5 of the best online florists in Ireland to make it even easier for you to treat your mum this Mother's Day.

For Mother's Day, Me Aul Flower is offering an extra special bunch that will be delivered on March 14 for €50 or a bigger bouquet for €75. Catherine's Flowers

Grafton Street's flower stalls are legendary. If you've taken a stroll down Grafton Street, you've likely seen Catherine Claffey's stall outside M&S. The stall was set up in the 1940s by her mother, Sally, who at the time sold her flowers from a bicycle. Now, decades later, the stall has expanded and is ran by her daughter Catherine. Relying heavily on footfall traffic, the flower stalls of Dublin City Centre were hit hard by the pandemic with many shutting shop. Determined not to let the pandemic get in the way of continuing her mother's legacy, Catherine decided to take her business online. Just like on Grafton Street, Catherine can make up bespoke bouquets for you as well as offering pre-designed bunches. Prices start at €35, delivery is free across Dublin and can be delivered on the same day you order where possible. There's even the option to add a balloon or gift box to your order. For Mother's Day, Catherine's Flowers are offering a special Mother's Day hamper which includes your choice of bouquet, a box of chocolates, a bottle of prosecco, a teddy bear and a personalised Mother's Day card. To order, simply drop her a message on Instagram.
