Congratulations are in order!
Wedding trends come and go faster than you can say "I do." First, it's fairytale, then it's rustic, and then you have those who go for more of a niche theme like Minions - seriously.
But if there's one trend that will forever reign supreme - in Hollywood especially - it's the secret wedding. Mila Kunis and Aston Kutcher, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds and even Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth (RIP romance) have all tied the knot in private over the last few months.
And now, it seems that Outlander star Caitriona Balfe has also joined the secret wedding society.
Reports have circulated insisting that Balfe, who plays the time-travelling Claire Fraser on the hit TV series, Outlander has just secretly wed her fiancé, Tony McGill, a music producer also from Ireland.
The former Irish Tatler cover star confirmed that McGill had proposed to her last year at the Golden Globes, but since then has kept pretty tight-lipped about the relationship.
While their marriage has yet to be confirmed by Balfe or McGill, People reported that the ceremony took place in the UK last weekend at St. Mary’s Church in Bruton, Somerset. Further confirming the news, the church’s public calendar lists a “McGill” wedding that same weekend.
And because where there's Claire, there's a supportive Jamie not too far behind. Sam Heughan posted a photo of himself wearing a tailored grey suit in what looks to be the English countryside. The caption reads, “Remarkable weekend” alongside a couple of celebratory emojis, including champagne and wedding bells. Further evidence that Balfe and McGill married at the weekend can be found in the comments section. Strangers, fans, and even some friends of both Heughan and Balfe sending along their best wishes to "Cait & Tony."
But it seems that a honeymoon for the couple could be on hold. On Thursday, Balfe shared a photo of herself to Twitter, where it appears that she's on the set of Outlander. "Oh hi.....!!! #season5," the actor captioned a selfie of herself in period clothing, along with a goat.
