Kim Kardashian has renamed her shapewear line after revealing the name as Kimono Solutionwear in June and sparking backlash from the public.
On Monday, the reality star unveiled the new name: SKIMS Solutionwear.
“My fans and followers are a huge inspiration to me ― I’m always listening to their feedback and opinions, and am so grateful they shared their ideas for a new brand name,” tweeted Kardashian.
“After much thought and consideration, I’m excited to announce the launch of SKIMS Solutionwear™.”

The brand officially drops on September 10 and boasts a wide range of sizes including XXS to 5XL
The change of name follows the alleged cultural appropriation of the Japanese garment with Kim's first brand name, Kimono.
The shapewear designer took to Instagram on July 1 to explain that much of her success is due to her close relationship with her fans and learning from the various perspectives, which is what led her to change the name.
"When I announced the name of my shapewear line, I did so with the best intentions in mind," she wrote.
"My brands and products are built with inclusivity and diversity at their core and after careful thought and consideration, I will be launching my Solutionwear brand under a new name. I will be in touch soon. Thank you for your understanding and support always."
Despite that effort, the hashtag #KimOhNo trended on Twitter and a Change.org petition condemning the Kimono Solutionwear name raked in more than 100,000 signatures.
Kardashian ultimately chose to swap out the name after Kyoto Mayor Daisaku Kadokawa posted an open letter on Facebook in July asking her to consider a new name.
Kardashian tweeted later that day that she’d be “launching my Solutionwear brand under a new name” and that she is “always listening, learning and growing.”
