Life in the public eye isn’t always easy for the Duchess of Sussex
Beyoncé and Jay Z weren't the only musical legends to meet the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at the Lion King premiere on Sunday. Chart-topping artist and producer Pharell Williams also had the honour of meeting Prince Harry. and Meghan Markle. While Beyoncé and Jay Z chose to chat about parenthood, Pharell decided to use his royal minute to praise the significance of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry relationship and "what it means in this climate."
Calling the Duke and Duchess' relationship "amazing" and "wonderful" while meeting them on the red carpet, it's likely that he was referring to the fact that Harry and Meghan have broken boundaries as an interracial couple in the British royal family. "Love is amazing. It’s wonderful. Don't take that for granted, but what it means in today's climate, I just wanted to tell you it's so significant for so many of us. Seriously." he continued.

Harry and Meghan nodded at the praise. “Thank you so much. That’s so nice of you to say,” the duchess responded.
“It’s significant,” Williams added. “We cheer you guys on.” The Sussexes touched his arm in gratitude. To which she then makes an apparent reference to the royal family's public attention, she replied: “Oh thank you. They don’t make it easy.” The Duchess of Sussex, of course, didn’t specify exactly who “they” are, but her comments come after months of repeated scrutiny in the tabloid press and online.

In another video of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex greeting members of the movie’s cast, Meghan was heard saying, “It’s a date night for us,” while smiling up at her husband.
While Prince Harry skipped a formal paternity leave following his son’s birth, Meghan has mostly been focusing on Baby Archie at the family’s Frogmore Cottage home in Windsor Castle. However, she did make two outings to Wimbledon in the past weeks to cheer on close pal Serena Williams.
