The British Ambassador’s Dublin residence was full of famous faces earlier this week as it hosted a garden party for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle...and Caitriona Balfe.

The event had an enviable guest list, with many well-known Irish names in attendance, including more than a few former Irish Tatler cover stars!

Our July cover star, Caitrona Balfe made an appearance and met Prince Harry alongside actors Moe Dunford and Barry Keoghan. The Monaghan actress and former model has been working in Scotland until recently. Caitriona, co-star Sam Heughan and the rest of the cast have just wrapped on Season 4 of their wildly popular show Outlander. Just as well, or she’d have missed out on hanging with her new pals! We suspect Caitriona and the newly-married Meghan would have gotten on very well, given both have had successful acting careers and are very involved in gender equality and social issues.

In fact in general it was a bit of a dream guest list with an abundance of brilliant Irish women present. Writer and comedian Aisling Bea made the trip over for the special event and, with fellow actress Amy Huberman, met Prince Harry (and had him in stitches it seems).

The guest list also included model/designer Faye Dinsmore, Lucy Kennedy (both pictured below), as well as Former President of Ireland Mary Robinson, activist Sinead Burke, journalist Una Mullally and Vicky Phelan.
