Terms And Conditions

Spas must enter themselves if they are to be considered for an award. The registration process is via an online form at IrishTatler.com/irish-tatler-spa-awards-2019. 

Registration takes place strictly from 21/05/2019 to 31/05/2019.

To enter the Irish Tatler Spa Awards 2019, your spa must meet all of the following criteria:

- Belong to a property with minimum of three-star accommodation.
- Be a self-contained and designated area within a hotel/resort.
- Have a minimum of three treatment rooms.

- Have at least one swimming pool/vitality pool/hydrotherapy area or a thermal area with at least two of the following facilities: * Jacuzzi; Heated Loungers; Sauna; Rasul; Laconium; Caldarium; Salt Room; Walking river; Cold Plunge Pool; Hot Tub; Experience Showers; Steam Room; Tepidarium; Sanarium; Aroma Room; Sand/UV Room; Foot basins; Dedicated Relaxation Room. Or Have a full suite of treatments, from facial to body and massage and have a relaxation area.

By entering the 2019 Irish Tatler Spa Awards, you agree to: 

Host a judge plus guest for one (applicable only to destinations within two hours of Dublin) or two nights, with one evening meal and up to three spa treatments (dependent on application) on an arranged visit between the months of early June and late August. 

Provide high-resolution images and appropriate information about the hotel, spa and therapists who carry out treatments to a member of the Irish Tatler editorial team. 

Each spa may enter the Irish Tatler Spa Awards 2019 in up to three categories. Please read carefully below before filling out the registration form to determine whether to apply under Boutique, Hotel or Destination Spa.

Hotels entering under Boutique Spa:

Must meet the basic requirements for entry as outlined above, but not the requirements as per the Hotel Spa category below.

Hotels entering under Hotel Spa:

Must: 

- Belong to a property with minimum of three-star accommodation.
- Be a self-contained and designated area within a hotel/resort.
- Have a Spa Reception within the designated spa.
- Have designated changing rooms.
- Have a minimum of three treatment rooms.
- Have at least one swimming pool/vitality pool/hydrotherapy area.

- Have a thermal area with at least two of the following facilities:
* Jacuzzi; Heated Loungers; Sauna; Rasul; Laconium; Caldarium; Salt Room; Walking river; Cold Plunge Pool; Hot Tub; Experience Showers; Steam Room; Tepidarium; Sanarium; Aroma Room; Sand/UV Room; Foot basins.

- And have a designated Relaxation Room.

Hotels entering under Destination Spa:

Must:

- Belong to a property with minimum four-star accommodation.
- Be the main reason to visit a hotel/resort.
- Have an extensive Spa Reception.
- Have an extensive Treatment Menu to include wet and dry treatments.
- Have designated male and female changing rooms with shower facilities.
- Have a selection of complementary products at the minimum shampoo, conditioner and shower gel.
-Have a minimum of six treatment rooms.
- Have at least one swimming pool/vitality pool/hydrotherapy area separate to the leisure centre within the hotel.

- Have a thermal area with at least five of the following facilities:
*Jacuzzi; Heated Loungers; Sauna; Rasul; Laconium; Caldarium; Salt Room; Walking river; Cold Plunge Pool; Hot Tub; Experience Showers; Steam Room; Tepidarium; Sanarium; Aroma Room; Sand/UV Room; Foot basins.

- Have a designated Relaxation Room.
- Have a programme of health and wellness activities ongoing throughout the calendar year.
- Have a spa menu or dedication to creating health-focus meals in the main restaurant.
