In Need Of Some Post-Pandemic Pampering? Stay at The Johnstown Estate

Guests leave their stresses at the door and can enjoy hours of uninterrupted blissful relaxation.

Many hotels in Ireland used the quieter months during Covid-19 to make improvements and upgrades, but few did it to the level that The Johnstown Estate did.

Surrounded by 120 acres of rural parkland and set in an original 18th-century Georgian residence, The Johnstown Estate Hotel & Spa is the perfect place to be pampered this spring.

Located in Enfield, Co Meath, the 126-bedroom hotel is just 35 minutes from Dublin and its flagship spa has recently undergone a complete remodel and expansion, creating a new spa nearly twice the size of its previous facility.

With an investment of over €3.5m, The Johnstown Estate Hotel & Spa has added a variety of wellness experiences to its offering including a Rooftop Experience, Thermal Suite, a Rasul, a mineral treatment bath and couples’ treatment room.

The spa is also the flagship Irish spa for award-winning skincare brand Elemis and luxury spa equipment supplier, Gharieni.

The Spa Escape

Guests who book the Spa Escape package leave their stresses at the door and can enjoy hours of uninterrupted blissful relaxation, choosing from three signature 50-minute treatments; a soothing Full Body Swedish Massage, a luxury Elemis Facial or a pampering Oriental Head Massage, each designed to lend a feeling of revitalisation and deep relaxation.

Following the treatments, make sure to pay a visit to the Rooftop Experience and Thermal suite, idling away the morning or afternoon between the hydrotherapy pool, Jacuzzi, hot tub and the heated pergola lounge and relaxation area. Round out the spa experience by milling from the salt cave to the sauna, to the steam room to the reflexology pathway.

Those bound to be hungry after a day of relaxation are treated to a delicious four-course dining experience at the hotel's fine-dining restaurant, Fire & Salt. Relaxed, and in a sophisticated space where the best of Irish fare can be enjoyed, the menu features quality local ingredients and seasonal dishes. There is also an impressive selection of wine and classic cocktails worth sampling before retiring for a restful night’s sleep.

To Book

The Spa Escape package starts at €279 per person sharing and includes an overnight stay, dinner and breakfast, plus one 50 minute spa treatment (from a choice of three) as well as two hours of access to the Rooftop Experience and Thermal Suite.
