The 90s are here to stay...

Clothes can serve as the epitome of time. The 50s had swing skirts, the 70s had flares and the 90s had satin midi skirts. While we're yet to see swing skirt make a resurgence, 90s slip skirts have made a major comeback and they won't be going anywhere.

The delicate garment was once considered to be a risqué lingerie piece only to be worn inside the comfort of your own home. But then along came the likes of Kate Moss and Jennifer Lopez who took this boudoir item from the bedroom to the red carpet.

Fast forward twenty years and we're now revisiting the skirt our mothers always told us we were too young to wear. The trend first crept it's way into our wardrobes last winter as we paired the silky item with chunky knits and tights. However, satin midi skirts are going nowhere for SS'19. Pair with a strappy sandal and tee or an equally as silky cami and prepare your legs to slip into this butter-soft one-and-done silhouette.
