Vanessa Hudgens has definitely shed any remainder of her High School Musical sweetheart image with this luxe, grown-up collection.

We can't get enough of tailored tuxedos at the moment. Let's call it the Blake Lively effect, because we don't know about you, but after watching "A Simple Favor", all we wanted to do was fix a martini and slip into a three-piece pinstripe number.

Our calls for retro, 1970s-style suiting has been answered by none other than Vanessa Hudgens. Formerly better known as a squeaky clean Disney teen and for her Coachella-ready festival style, Hudgens has made a conscious effort to prove herself as of late.

Recently engaged to her longterm beau and with new acting work in the pipeline, the 29-year-old is coming into her second act - and she's evidently dressing the part too.

To prove her sartorial range goes beyond 'LA boho-meets-It Girl', the raven-haired actress designed a range of staple suits for Suistudio, the womenswear arm of popular Amsterdam-based Suitsupply.

The references are fairly obvious - after all, who wouldn't look to Bianca Jagger or David Bowie for inspiration?

Alas, the resulting sumptuous rust velvet three piece, wool-cashmere houndstooth suit, and mustard corduroy options are considered failsafe fashion items for a reason. Not to mention Jagger's iconic white wedding suit that's as scene stealing now as it was in 1971.

"To completely design a collection that I thought of from the ground up - which was slightly terrifying because I had never done anything like it before - was extremely liberating," Hudgens said.

To channel your own inner Thin White Duke or Studio 54-era Bianca Jagger, shop the 15-piece collection on Suistudio here. (Prices starting at €100)
