It's a bumper month for Netflix, with a host of original shows landing on the streaming service.
Highlights include compelling new crime drama Quicksand (Swedish, of course) and Brie Larson's directorial debut, Unicorn Store. Our Planet, an incredible nature series narrated by David Attenborough, will leave you agog at the abundance of wonders on this planet of ours (and will arm you with advice on how best to save them).
Also on the must-see list is research professor and best-selling author Brené Brown's one-hour special, The Call to Courage, and there's the return of ...Sabrina too.
Quicksand (from 5 April)
A new Netflix Original series based on the best-selling Swedish crime novel by Malin Persson Giolito. After a shooting tragedy at a school shocks a wealthy Stockholm suburb, one teen finds herself on trial for murder.
Our Planet (from 5 April)
This highly anticipated natural world documentary features the incomparable David Attenborough on narration duties - although Salma Hayek and Penelope Cruz also take a turn. Filmed over four years, across 50 countries, it’s a fascinating look at our planet.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina: Part 2 (from 5 April)
The first series was one of our guilty pleasures and now everyone’s favourite teenage is back for Series 2. It sees Sabrina (played by Mad Men’s Kiernan Shipka) exploring her darker side. Not to mention the love triangle she finds herself in too!
Unicorn Store (from 5 April)
The directorial debut from Brie ‘Captain Marvel’ Larson, she also stars in this quirky tale. She plays Kit, a twenty-something dreamer, who receives an invitation that could make her childhood dreams come true.
Brené Brown: The Call to Courage (from 19 April)
Research professor and best-selling author Brené Brown, whose Ted Talk The Power of Vulnerability has been watched millions of times, is coming to Netflix with a one-hour special. In it, she discusses what it takes to choose courage over comfort in a culture defined by scarcity, fear and uncertainty.
